Welcome to my

Introduction

My name is Stephen Robertson, I'm and I live in England. Back in the mid to late 1980's I was a freelance artist drawing pictures for games on the Commodore 64 computer.

This site is a gallery of my Commodore 64 artwork, as well as some of my other early computer artwork. Each picture is accompanied by my memories about the picture, hopefully giving you an idea of what it was like to be a part of the game business in those days.

Visit the Gallery page for the complete tour.

If you don't know what a Commodore 64 is, then why not take a look at the Background pages, which also include details of how the graphics system worked on the C64, and how I drew my pictures.

Site Dedication

Some of the pictures on this site were lost. Over the years I've mislaid some C64 disks, and one batch of them were borrowed and never returned. This resulted in the loss of the original master copies of quite a few of my pictures.

I've managed to get back all of my commercial artwork, and nearly all of my personal, early art via the wonders of the internet. Some I found myself via internet searches, others I extracted out of games or demos, and some have been searched for and unearthed by dedicated C64 enthusiasts and archivers of original disks and tapes from the 80's.

For this reason I dedicate this site to all those die-hard C64 fans who are preserving all the old C64 programs and hardware. Without you this site would not have been possible.
